Kuldeep Manak Passed Away - Kuldeep Manak Ji Died on 30-11-2011 Wednesday. Renowned Punjabi folk legend Kuldeep Manak died early on Wednesday November 30, 2011, after an enduring battle with his kidney disease. He was 62 and was in critical condition for months. Manak was admitted to the hospital yesterday after his condition got worsened. Unfortunately, the legend has left for the heavenly abode. Credited with popularizing the folk genre and known as "Kalian Da Badshah", Manak sang innumerable songs, influencing an entire generation of music lovers. Recently the three maestros Kuldip Manak, his son Yudhvir Manak and Jazzy B collaborated in the chart-buster album Maharajas.

Born as Latif Mohammed on 15 November, 1949, Manak was known for his rendition of traditional punjabi folk genre "kaliyan". He is survived by his wife Sarabjeet Kaur and two children, son Yudhvir Manak and daughter Shakti. Following his father 's footsteps, Yudhvir Manak is already a popular name in Punjabi music industry.

Punjabi music industry and the entire Punjabi fraternity reacted sadly to Kuldip Manak's death on Wednesday.
